LANARKSHIRE BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2010 CONDITIONS OF ENTRY AND GUIDANCE NOTES
All entries will be judged on information contained only within the standard Entry Form, therefore please do not submit any supporting information with your submission. North and South Lanarkshire Councils will appoint judging panels.
The closing date for receipt of completed entry forms is Wednesday 2nd December 2009.
Conditions of Entry
- The Awards are only open to organisations based in the Lanarkshire area. Businesses that are owned by parent companies or groups based outwith Lanarkshire may also enter provided that the Lanarkshire organisation can demonstrate a significant degree of autonomy over its operations, policies and strategies.
- The closing date for receipt of completed Entry Forms is Wednesday 2nd December 2009.
- Following the closing date, there will be a one week verification period before the completed entries are forwarded to the judging panels. During this period, entries will be reviewed to ensure entry criteria are met.
- Entries may be made in more than one category (for multiple entries please submit each entry on a separate form). No supplementary information or additional materials will be considered.
- Shortlisted organisations will be required to submit their latest set of audited accounts and will be invited to give a short presentation on their entries.
- Shortlisted organisations in each of the award categories may be visited by representatives of the judging panels to validate their entry and assist with their final decision.
- Award sponsors may not enter the category of which they are a sponsor.
- The judges' decisions are final and while feedback may be provided, no correspondence will be entered into.
- Finalists for the award categories will be invited to The Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards Dinner to be held at Shawlands Park Hotel on Friday 26 February 2010, when the winner in each category will be announced.
- Information supplied will be shared with the judging panel and all information will be treated as confidential. It will not be used for any purpose other than judging the competition. Finalist organisations may be included in related media coverage and may be required to take part in promotional activities about the Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards. It is a condition of entering the awards that organisations do not contact the press about their entry or being shortlisted as finalists prior to the announcement of winners at the Dinner and Awards Ceremony on Friday 26 February 2010.
