The Inclusiveness project provides a flexible bespoke programme that meets the demand of employers seeking to recruit whilst helping vulnerable individuals develop core, basic and personal skills.

The project is made up of 3 components, a Gateway induction process involving preparation of an individual action plan that can lead to one of 2 'routeways', pre-recruitment or vocational.

The Gateway process involves a holistic assessment of needs and lasts between 2 to 4 weeks dependent on part or full time participation, volume of clients, etc. The Gateway process will help gauge direction of travel and level of support required for each individual.

The Pre Recruitment Routeway last 8 weeks and is an employer-led customised programme linked to the skills need of growth sectors, such as care, retail and business services.

The Vocational Routeway can vary in duration as its focus is to provide those with no or minimal qualifications with the vocational or industry qualifications needed to access and sustain employment opportunities.

Services target workless participants with a range of vulnerabilities, which can include family circumstances affected by Drugs and Alcohol issues. Target Groups include:

  • Young people in need of more choices, more chances
  • Lone parents
  • Incapacity benefit claimants
  • Workforce returners in need of upskilling
