Progress to Employment (P2E) StARTworks provides support to people aged 18 and over who face extensive and multiple barriers to employment.
Over an 8 week period participants undertake a holistic programme that provides the opportunity to try creative industry activities, including photography and film, to promote participant engagement and attendance at the course. This is interwoven with employability support and the chance to complete a work placement in an occupational area of choice.
Courses are designed to build the capacity, confidence and motivation of participants making employment, education and training a realistic next step. Participants attend P2E StARTworks on a part-time basis (15 hours per week) and services aim to address the gap in mainstream provision where more intensive and customised support is required to help individuals to overcome extensive or multiple barriers.
