Rebuilding Opportunities is a construction sector training programme that supports South Lanarkshire residents aged 16 and over who are currently unemployed and interested in pursuing a future career in the construction industry.

The programme provides a package of employability training and practical work experience to participants giving them an opportunity to acquire qualifications and/or specific industry recognised certification to help them secure and sustain employment within the construction industry. Training is linked to current and emerging employment opportunities in major regeneration programmes across South Lanarkshire, including Clyde Gateway, school and home modernisation and the M74 extension.

Rebuilding Opportunities has run several pre-apprenticeship training courses, a trainee road worker course, multiple general construction courses, several customised employer-led training courses tailored to specific employer needs and a transitional employment project.
